Zipp's Story

Zipp is a 2-year-old, 45 pound, Australian Cattle Dog. She came to us from the Bethany, Missouri Pound, where she had unfortunately landed twice in the last year. The first time was back in April, when her owner reclaimed her, updated her vaccines, and provided proof to the city. In early September, she was picked up running at large again. This time, her owner denied she was his dog.

That’s when Zipp’s new chapter began. She moved into one of our foster homes in Bethany nd did great there with five other dogs. Last week she made her way to Iowa, where she’s been showing us what a truly wonderful dog she is.

Zipp plays well with both male and female dogs and absolutely loves people. She’s got great doggy manners. If another dog isn’t interested in playing, she reads the room and simply moves on. She rides beautifully in the car, enjoys going for walks, and loves to fetch. Zipp pays attention to her people and knows her name well. If you call her or whistle she comes right to you.

Zipp is house trained, kennel trained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. She does require a physically fenced yard so she can safely run and play.

If you’re looking for a sweet, social, and loyal companion, Zipp is your girl.

If you would like to meet Zipp, please complete the adoption application on our website: www.furfunrescue.org. Once the application is received, we check the veterinarian reference if you have or have had pets. Then we contact you to set up a time to meet the dog. If, after meeting the dog you want to proceed with an adoption, we will run a background check, call personal references, and do a home visit. We always introduce our dog to any current pets.
