Zinger's Story

Meet Zinger - a one-year-old, 60-pound burst of energy, personality, and classic German Shepherd charm.
Rochester, MN area

Zinger is a handsome black-and-tan boy with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life. He's still a young pup figuring things out, but he's off to a great start-he already knows sit, down, stay, and shake. He's crate trained, sleeps through the night, and does great when left alone while his people are out.

This smart guy thrives on structure and loves anything that challenges his brain. He came to us as a stray from a local shelter, so we're not sure of his exact mix-but he's definitely got strong GSD vibes, possibly with a little cattle dog sprinkled in.

Zinger is high energy and will need daily exercise-walks or runs are a must, along with consistent mental stimulation. He enjoys training sessions (sometimes twice a day!) and loves puzzle toys. He plays well with other dogs, though his style is enthusiastic and can be a bit rough. He gets along with his current dog friend, but he definitely has more energy than she does.

This playful, curious boy has a goofy side too-he's known for doing spontaneous somersaults when he gets excited! He's a big fan of rubber toys and balls (soft toys don't stand a chance), and he loves a good yak chew. He's still working on his manners when passing other dogs on walks-he can get excited and bark-but he absolutely adores meeting new people.

Zinger is looking for an active home ready to match his energy, continue his training, and embrace his fun-loving, affectionate personality. With the right family, he's going to be an incredible companion.

Because of his energy and size, a home without small children is best-he may accidentally knock them over. We're unsure how he does with cats or small dogs but can test if needed.
