Ziggy's Story

Meet ZIGGY... aka ZigZag, Ziggy Biggy, Zig... and probably a few more names you'll come up with once you meet him!

This 2-year-old Yorkshire Terrier/mix may be small, but his personality (and nickname collection) is anything but! Let's get one thing straight... Ziggy is a certified ladies' man! While he will tolerate and politely greet men, his heart belongs to the ladies. If you're a woman looking for a tiny, loyal shadow who will adore you endlessly... Ziggy is your guy!

And when we say Velcro dog, we mean it! Ziggy wants to be right by your side at all times - sitting, walking, existing... he's there! He thrives on close companionship and simply wants to be with his person as much as possible. He also has a very important hobby: blankets. Specifically, heated blankets. If you have one, he will find it. If you turn it on, he will claim it. Cozy is his lifestyle!

Ziggy came to WCAS as a stray and has spent the past few weeks in a loving foster home, where he's truly started to blossom. He's doing wonderfully with potty training and crate training, and he's learning how to do all the fun "dog things" he may have missed out on - like playing with toys and letting his goofy side shine. His confidence grows more each day!

Ziggy is currently still living in a foster home with both dogs and cats and has done well, suggesting he could do well in a home with other animals given slow, proper introductions! He is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and current on flea/tick & heartworm preventatives.

Ziggy will do best in a home that can continue building his confidence, provide plenty of love, and of course... offer access to warm, snuggly blankets! If you're looking for a devoted companion who will love you fiercely and follow you everywhere, Ziggy is ready to meet you! Please fill out an adoption application on our website.
