Ziggy's Story

Ziggy is a four-year-old Chweenie with a whole lot of personality packed into his 12-pound frame. A perfect blend of Chihuahua confidence and Dachshund charm, Ziggy has that classic “tiny dog, big attitude” energy—paired with a heart that’s just waiting to feel safe and loved. He had a loving home since a pup but unfortunately had to be surrendered.
Like many dogs who’ve been through change, Ziggy doesn’t rush into new relationships. He needs a little time to familiarize himself with his person, and he does best with someone who understands that trust is built gently, not instantly. A calm, loving presence goes a long way with him. Once Ziggy realizes he’s safe, his true self begins to shine.
Ziggy would thrive in a peaceful home where things move at a slower pace—one where he can settle in, observe, and form a bond at his own speed. He’s not asking for perfection, just patience and kindness. And maybe even another little fur buddy he could be friends with. In return, he offers loyalty, companionship, and that unmistakable Chihuahua sass that keeps life interesting.

Cabin Critters Rescue's Adoption Policy
• All potential adopters HAVE to apply for each animal they are interested in. • We do not pay to ship or transport animals out of state (we don't have such funds). • Once an application is in, please give time for us to review them and we will contact you once the review process is over. • We may not always know what breeds our rescues are and we simply just guess what they are to the best of our knowledge, whether or not we know who the parents are, and what the former owners have said they are to be. If you're interested in volunteering or even fostering one of our rescues, please check out our site to fill out applications. We are always on the look out for help with our rescues in many different ways.
