Ziggy's Story

Meet Ziggy!
This guy got himself evicted from his apartment and KVPP has stepped in to help find him the best forever family to live out his retirement years.
Ziggy is about 15 years oldand in great health for that age.He does suffer from pretty severe separation anxiety so he will need a home with someone who is there. This is how he got evicted. He will bark non stop if left alone. He would enjoy spending his retirement with another retiree. He absolutely loves car rides and would be perfectly happy going everywhere with you.
Ziggy does not like to be crated and would much prefer just lounging on the couch those times you are not around. He is house trained, but given his age, will need to go out more frequently. He does well in a fenced yard but he also loves a good walk.
Ziggy will also need to sleep in your bed. This is not optional. He is 15 and has enjoyed the comfort of someones bed most of his life. He has two spots, at your feet or between the pillows.Although he can still jump, he will need stairs to help him get in the bed.
Ziggy absolutely loves a little lambchop toy.If you give him a new one, he will spend the next 3 hours grooming it to look like the old one.Lol.
He doesnt mind other dogs or cats.He will, at times, lay with another dog but for the most part he just does his own thing.
Ziggy is just a guy who needs the comfort and security of someone who is going to be there.Someone he can sit and watch tv with.Someone he can snuggle with. Someone who will give him treats and take him on car rides or walks.Someone who understands that he does not like to be left alone and will bark incessantly.Someone who will be patient and understand his stress and anxiety of a new home.
So, if you are looking for a great wingman Ziggy is your guy!

Knox Vintage Pet Project's Adoption Policy
We have a written application all potential adopters must fill out. Once the application is complete, we call all vet references to make sure their current pets are well taken care of (up to date on vaccines and heartworm prevention, sterilized). If the adopter rents, we will call the landlord to make sure they are allowed to have pets and have no restrictions. We require a meet and greet with all of their current pets before adoption.
