Ziggy's Story

Some puppies are cute.

Some puppies are something special.

At just 16 weeks old, Ziggy has shown us over and over that he has the kind of temperament people spend years hoping to find.

He loves going for walks and happily explores the world around him. He's comfortable riding in the car, settling on patios and porches, and accompanying us on everyday errands. Whether it's a busy veterinary office, Tractor Supply, or waiting for a grocery pickup, Ziggy takes everything in stride.

One of our favorite things about him is his ability to simply exist in the world. He doesn't feel the need to greet every person or every dog he sees. Instead, he observes, explores, and relaxes; a quality that's surprisingly uncommon in a puppy his age.

At home, he's just as impressive. Ziggy sleeps through the night, settles beautifully in his crate, enjoys puzzle toys and enrichment, and has learned that downtime is just as important as playtime.

He's incredibly affectionate, loves to cuddle with both people and dogs, and has a gentle play style. Despite outweighing some of our resident dogs by more than 10 pounds, Ziggy naturally self-handicaps during play, throwing himself on the ground so everyone can join in safely. It's one of the many little things that tells us what a kind-hearted puppy he is.

He's food motivated, eager to learn, and has done wonderfully with grooming, ear cleaning, handling, and other everyday routines.

Ziggy isn't just learning command he's learning how to be a good citizen of the world.

Whoever adopts him won't just be bringing home an adorable puppy. They'll be bringing home a puppy with an exceptional foundation and endless potential. Whether his future includes hiking trails, brewery patios, nursing home visits, therapy work, or simply being the easiest dog they've ever lived with, we can't wait to see him thrive.

If you're looking for a puppy with a wonderful temperament, a soft heart, and all the makings of an incredible lifelong companion, Ziggy just might be your guy.

#TTDRZiggy
