ZEUS - Goofy boy!'s Story
Meet ZEUS!

This boy is more special to our rescue group than anyone could ever imagine! He is at the heart of why we do what we do and is actually one of the reasons why FlyDogzPR began to do adoptions!

Zeus is anywhere from 9-11 years old and is a Husky mix. He weighs about 35 lbs.

About Zeus:

DOGS: he’s excellent with other dogs! He is currently living with an 80 lb dog and a 40 lb dog without any issues. He’s also been with young foster puppies in the home without issue. He sees other dogs on his walks and doesn’t react. In fact, a passing dog snapped at him unexpectedly once on his walk and he just stared at him blankly as if to say, “What’s the big deal?”

PEOPLE: He gets along with all people, men and women alike. He’s currently living with an adult man and woman and is used to adult visitors to the home and has no issues with it.

ENERGY LEVEL: Low energy…not counting his walks! This boy is basically a couch potato, thrilled to chill in his bed or on the floor for a majority of the day. Don’t be fooled though, Zeus’ spunk comes out every time the leash or his bowl does. He will do a happy dance by the door in anticipation of his walk and tippy tap as you prepare his food (see his photo - you’ll be able to spot the one immediately).

FOOD: One of his loves! He isn’t a picky eater at all! He loves all food - wet and dry. If you leave the cat food out, he’ll eat that too! 😂 That being said, he doesn’t food guard! Some high reward treats will truly brighten his day and make him smile from ear to ear! He will stare at you with the most innocent happy smile when food is being made.

BARKING: barely barks; he’s virtually quiet

SHEDDING: he barely sheds, and especially for a Husky mix!

CATS: He currently lives with 2 cats and usually doesn’t care about them at all (98% of the time he looks through them like they don't even exist); however, on one instance with his foster family, he pounced on one in a playful manner. If an adopter has a cat, we recommend a set up in the home in which the cats are separated from Zeus when not supervised simply given the fact that Zeus is larger than any cat.

Zeus is truly the best boy and is PERFECT for someone who might have a soft spot for the older ones or ones that simply like the easy slow life. He’s a perfect buddy for someone who loves their Netflix, loves a quiet sweet companion, and a dog who truly causes no trouble. He is so sweet and goofy and grows on you quickly. His long term fosters and his rescuer agree he incredibly easy. All he requires is some love, some yummy food and a few walks a day and in his mind, he’ll be living like a king.

NOTE: We focus our adoptions on the DC/Maryland/Virginia area but can easily get Zeus to the NY/NJ area. If you have any questions about your location and are interested in adopting Zeus, please note hesitate to email us

APPLY TO ADOPT HERE:
https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FDZ/Dog

For more information on our organization, please visit: https://www.flydogzpr.org/

Instagram: @flydogz_pr AND @flydogzpr_adopt

Any questions? The best fit for the dog is our priority.

Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment are the most important things in caring for a dog.

In addition, we cannot guarantee breed of any dog, exact age or expected adult size of a puppy. Please note that even house-trained dogs will need help transitioning to an adopter's home and schedule. Thank you for understanding.
