Zeus's Story
A GOOD VET REFERENCE AND HEARTWORM PREVENTION ARE REQUIRED

If you are interested in adopting, please cut and paste the link below to fill out an adoption application:

https://form.jotform.com/92916416469165

After the application is processed and approved, a home visit and meet and greet with the dogs will be scheduled. If there are any fencing issues, make sure that repairs are done prior to the home visit. Typically, the adoption is finalized the day after the home visit and meet and greet. Out of area adopters would need to drive/fly in to meet the dogs and adopt.

DOB: 9/19/2023
Weight: 17#

Zeus is vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, neutered, microchipped with lifetime registration to the rescue, heartworm negative (12/2/25) and on monthly heartworm prevention.

He was found as a stray in a gated community. The owner was located, and they admitted that they didn't want him back. They put him out on the streets and hoped that he would run away. Prior to that they had banished him to the backyard and his chest was covered in fungus from laying in the dirt. They got him from his previous owner and so he's been let down at least twice in his short life.

Despite all of his previous neglect, he is very sweet and loving. He's taken alot of training and socialization. But he's adjusted nicely. He's well-tempered and plays great with all of the other fosters. He's pretty good on leash. But would benefit from a little more work. He's crate trained now and doing well inside free roam during the day with supervision. He's good in the car and they loved him at the vet and is easy to handle.

He would do best with another smaller dog playmate. He holds his own with the bigger minpins and he's gentle with the smaller ones. He would probably be fine with cats also. He likes to snuggle and watch Netflix, fluffy blankets, and toys.
