Zest's Story

Hewo der! My name is Zest! I am a male husky-shepard mix born on February 21, 2026. I am still a puppy but expect to grow to be about 45-50 pounds.

I am fully vaccinated. I am not neutered yet because I am young still. I was found on the street with my mom and ten other siblings! My mom kept moving us around to find food. We are so lucky to have been rescued by the Cantu Foundation and now I get to search for my furever home!

Here's why I am amazing:
I'm a puppy with lots to learn! I can tell you when I need to go outside to potty when I am in my pen. I know how to use a doggie door. I am fully crate trained. I can be in my crate during the day while you do your errands. I love sleeping in my crate at night.

A "Zest" For Life: I love all other doggos and I get along well with little hoomans. I am not sure how I am with cats because I have not experienced them yet but I am sure I'd love them too! I am very cuddly, affectionate, playful, and energetic. I love going on walks! I bring full, fun puppy energy! I am also very independent and social. I LOVE to be picked up. I also adore cuddles and will roll over on back for belly scratches! Playing with my brother is one of my favorite activities.

I get excited meeting new dogs but am cautious and will roll over to show that I am gentle. I am vocal when I see you come home (or need to potty)—I am just really excited to see you! But I am also good with picking up your commands. I will match your calmness and/or energy! I have a lot of love to offer.

My foster family describes me as loving, playful, smart, and goofy. I know how to sit, shake, and lay down. I am currently learning how to wait when my yummy food bowl is in front of me! I am ready to learn!

What's my dream home?
I am a puppy who is learning and will grow with my forever family! I would appreciate a doggo buddy and a yard, but all I really need is love, affection, walks, and belly scratches. I cannot wait to meet you!
My adoption fee is $550. This fee covers my first year of vaccinations, neuter, and microchip. Think we'd be a perfect pair? Apply to adopt me at www.thecantufoundation.org/adopt.html
