Meet Zess (affectionately nicknamed "Tess"). At just over a year old and an athletic 65 pounds, she is fit as a fiddle and ready to join you on any adventure. <br/><br/>Zess quickly mastered her basic training and has incredible recall. Whether you're working with treats or affection, she loves training and genuinely wants to please.<br/><br/>This girl is a total sweetheart who thrives on connection- she adores other dogs, gets along great with cats, and is a natural with older kids. She started out as an enthusiastic hugger with new visitors, but has grown into a polite, calm greeter who sits at your feet and asks nicely for attention (though she'll still take a hug if you're offering!). <br/><br/>She's house and crate trained, though she's able to be left alone without a crate. She walks well on a leash, but would really prefer a fenced in yard where she can roam on her on...did we mention a kiddie pool?<br/><br/>Born February 23, 2025, Zess is ready to bring her big personality, big love, and love of big splashes into her forever home!<br/><br/>YOUR ADOPTION FEE COVERS: Transport to Maine, age specific vaccinations, Health certificate, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm/lyme/ehrlichia test, worming & martingale collar.<br/><br/>Adoption fees:<br/>Through 6 months of age $450;<br/>7 months to through 5 years $400;<br/>6 years and under 9 years $325: bonded pairs are $500;<br/>9 years and older $250: bonded pairs are $300<br/><br/>This dog is available unless it is marked as Pending, meaning Pending Adoption. This dog is in foster care locally, ONLY if Maine is listed next to the dogs name; otherwise, the dog is still waiting with our partner rescue for an adoption or foster home in New England.<br/><br/>All dogs have a current Health Certificate for transport. All imported dogs are quarantined 14 days prior to getting on transport.ve had annual heartworm tests and are on heartworm preventative.<br/><br/>FOR PUPPIES: PLEASE READ!!<br/>Homes considering Puppies must be prepared for:<br/>Flexible Schedules for Potty Training. Puppies can only hold urine for one hour per month of age. Crate Training for the next 10 months to keep them safe from chewing on everything in your home. Supervision with Children and Obedience training.<br/>Socialization; both with new people, children and other dogs outside of the home.<br/>Homes that want a well behaved dog, must be prepared to put the time, effort and costs associated to train a puppy.
