Zess is in Maine's Story
Zess (nicknamed Tess, because Zess just doesn't roll off the tongue!) is a beautiful girl who is incredibly affectionate, super gentle eager to please and smart as all get out. She is just over a year old and is a compact size for a full grown "big dog" at about 65lbs.

Her foster cannot say enough wonderful things about her. Zess has excellent recall and has picked up on her basic training like a champ. Working with her is easy as she values not only treats for reinforcing behaviors, but affection as well. She loves to play with other dogs and thrives on companionship, both canine and human. Zess is gentle, loving, and always ready to soak up attention. When she first arrived, she was quite a "hugger", while these were very gentle and sweet hugs, not everyone appreciates this so her foster has worked with her and she now will sit at the feet of new people, lean in for contact and gaze adoringly at you. It will just melt your heart. Zess would do great in a home with another dog, is fine with cats and enjoys teenagers. She will make an excellent sporting buddy who loves to tag along on all adventures. Zess has successfully house trained while in foster, but as with any change, her new family should expect some accidents until she gets used to the new schedule. She is also crate trained.

Zess is a sibling to Zane who had hip dysplasia so we proactively had her evaluated by a specialist and she shows no signs and has excellent range of motion. Her dob is 2.23.25.

YOUR ADOPTION FEE COVERS: Transport to Maine, age specific vaccinations, Health certificate, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm/lyme/ehrlichia test, worming & martingale collar.

Adoption fees:
Through 6 months of age $450;
7 months to through 5 years $400;
6 years and under 9 years $325: bonded pairs are $500;
9 years and older $250: bonded pairs are $300

This dog is available unless it is marked as Pending, meaning Pending Adoption.
