Zess is in Maine's Story
Zess, affectionately called Tess by her foster family is an affectionate and intelligent dog with a gentle temperament. At just over one year of age and weighing approximately 65 pounds, she presents as a compact adult within the large dog category.

Her foster caregiver consistently reports positive observations regarding her behavior and adaptability. Zess demonstrates excellent recall and has mastered basic training promptly. She responds well to both treat-based and affectionate reinforcement, facilitating easy engagement during training sessions. Zess enjoys interacting with other dogs and values companionship from both humans and canines alike.

She exhibits a loving and gentle demeanor, readily seeking attention and displaying appropriate greeting behaviors with new acquaintances. Her progress includes transitioning from initial enthusiastic hugging to sitting calmly at the feet of visitors and seeking contact respectfully.

Zess is well-suited for households with another dog, adapts comfortably around cats, and gets along with teenagers. She has proven herself to be house trained within her foster environment, though some adjustment-related accidents may be expected initially in a new setting.
