Hi there! I’m Zena! I’m a 5-year-old pup with lots of love and energy to share. After the Kankakee tornado, I found my way here while searching for safety and a fresh start. Now I’m hoping my next chapter is finding my forever home. Everyone says I’m a sweet, social, and funny girl. I love people—big humans, little humans, all of them! I’m always ready to say hello, get some pets, and make new friends. I also get along great with other dogs, so I’d be happy to have a furry sibling to play with. I still have lots of playful energy and a silly personality that makes people laugh. I love running around, playing, and being part of whatever my humans are doing. Even though I came here after a big storm, my heart is full of hope and my tail never stops wagging. All I need now is a loving family who will give me a safe place to call home. Maybe that family is you!<br/><br/>Our organization is foster based which means that we really know and understand our dogs personalities as our volunteers live each day in their house with our rescued dogs.
