Meet Zena | Medium Sized, Dog-friendly, kid-friendly, adventurer<br/><br/>Zena is a 1-year-old, 45 lb sweetheart with a playful spirit and a heart that still believes in people - even after being left alone at an elementary school playground. She was found confused and scared, but despite that heartbreaking start, Zena has remained incredibly loving and trusting.<br/><br/>This girl is the perfect medium-sized companion: big enough for adventures, but just the right size to curl up beside you at the end of the day. Zena absolutely adores people, including kids, and loves being part of whatever her humans are doing. She's affectionate, playful, and clearly just wants to belong.<br/><br/>Zena is thriving in her foster home and continues to impress everyone she meets. After one initial accident while adjusting to a new routine, she has settled in beautifully and is considered fully potty trained. She is also kennel trained, walks nicely on leash, and is working hard on learning her basic commands. She's eager to learn and loves earning praise from her people.<br/><br/>If you're looking for an adventure buddy, Zena is your girl! She loves spending time outdoors, whether it's going for walks, exploring new places, or simply soaking up the fresh air. When she's back home, you'll often find her happily entertaining herself with her favorite chew toys.<br/><br/>Zena has done wonderfully with other dogs in foster care and enjoys having canine friends. As with any new dog, slow, thoughtful introductions will help set everyone up for success.<br/><br/>Zena is in a foster home with cats, but requires supervision with all feline companions. Zena would likely do best in a home without cats, as she has a prey drive, and may find kitties a little too interesting!<br/><br/>Zena is looking for a home where she can finally experience the safety and love every dog deserves.<br/><br/>After being left behind once, Zena deserves a family who will show her that she's home for good. <br/><br/>Zena is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program, which means you can take some time to get to know her in your home before finalizing the adoption.
