My name is Zena ('Zuri' in Mexico) and here's more about me:<br/><br/>PHYSICAL INFO:<br/><br/><br/> Breed: Mountain Cur mix<br/> Age: approx 9 months<br/> Gender: Female<br/> Weight: 33lbs (15 kg) <br/> Current Location: Guadalajara Mexico<br/><br/><br/>RESCUE STORY - Hey! You're probably wondering how I got here, right? Yup, me too! Well my mama Allegra (also available for adoption through WCP!) was abandoned by her previous 'family' and living on the streets. That's where I was born, right under one of those cars that was undergoing repairs - the safest place she could find for us. I was lucky enough to be rescued by an angel hooman and then go to a foster home with my sister, Rena. After some time, we were moved to a kennel and although it's nice and all, and we do get to play with other pups, I sure am ready for a furever family of my own!<br/><br/>TEMPERAMENT - Like any good puppy, I do get the zoomies and I looooove toys. I am a very sweet little pup - I take after my mama! - but I can be a bit shy at first. When I first got to my foster home I was a timid little bundle of fluff but now that I've gotten older I find that I can adjust more quickly to new environments, like the kennel. I am a very playful doggo and I really like playing with other dogs, especially my sister Rena! I also love running in nature and playing in the water. <br/><br/>ENERGY LEVEL - Medium - High<br/><br/>GETS ALONG WITH:<br/><br/><br/> Kids – Unknown but testing can be requested!<br/> Dogs – Yes! I enjoy playing with other pups especially my sister.<br/> Cats – Unknown<br/><br/><br/>PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I'm not too sure how I'll react around squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise.<br/><br/>TRAINING:<br/><br/><br/> Leash skills – My rescuers say I am okay with my leash skills, however I may need some additional patience and training :)<br/> House trained – My rescuer says I am okay with this but I may need some additional training and patience. <br/> Crate trained – My rescuer says I am okay with this but I may need some additional training and patience. <br/> Car rides – My rescuer says I am okay with this but I may need some additional training and patience. <br/><br/><br/>Please Note: WCP highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives. <br/><br/>HEALTH NOTES: <br/><br/><br/> I am spayed and vaccinated.<br/> NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits.
