"Cuddling a dog is good for the soul." Meet our favorite redhead, Zelda, who will provide all the cuddles you need! She is eight years old and weighs 31 pounds.<br/><br/>Why we love her: Zelda is so sweet and good natured and is one of our favorites. She has the cutest move where she will "dance" for you.<br/><br/>Lucky Zelda spent time in the home of one of our volunteers who reports: <br/>"Zelda was a wonderful house guest. She was a bit timid at first but warmed up quickly. After some time, Zelda would lay next to me on the couch with her head in my lap. When she wanted pets she nudged my hand with her paw or nose. She would lay quietly next to me when I tired of petting. By the second day, she would stand up and paw the air with her front feet when it was walk time. Zelda enjoyed exploring the neighborhood on walks and didn't react to my neighbors dogs barking at us She guarded my front yard from the couch and quietly stared down any deer, squirrels, or crows that ventured in her territory. Zelda loves squeaky toys and tennis balls but does need some supervision to prevent her disassembling them. She also enjoyed exploring my fenced yard."<br/><br/>Zelda had a fun outing where she rode well in the car, enjoyed visiting a farm stand, went to a local pet store where she picked out her Halloween costume and finished with a dip in a local river. What a great day Zelda had! She also represented the shelter at an offsite event and had the best time!<br/><br/>Back at the shelter, she ambles contentedly by your side on daily walks and we truly enjoy her company. Zelda also likes to play in the fenced yard. She especially loves rolling around in the grass and kicking up her legs - it is so cute to see!<br/><br/>She loves sitting by your side to hang out and enjoy the day and enjoys being petted.
