Zeki's Story

"Zeki’s name means intelligent in Turkish, but right now his resume reads more class clown than honor student. At 10 months old, this Anatolian Shepherd mix is still figuring it all out: he’s got the size of a linebacker (ok, not really, he’s only around 50 lbs) and the personality of an overly affectionate toddler.

The good news? He takes treats like a gentleman, gets along with cats (though he thinks squirrels and bunnies are for chasing), and is friendly with other dogs. Chickens are probably not his future besties.

Crates, however, are his sworn enemy—he’s basically a furry Houdini—so a home where he doesn’t need one is ideal. Despite the breed’s “independent” reputation, Zeki has chosen to be your personal escort service. He walks nicely on leash, adores every human he meets, and would love a family who’s ready to guide him from baby-brain to best-boy."

Zeki is being fostered in Lakewood, Colorado.

*We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.*

You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/zeki/.

You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.
