Zebra's Story
🦓 Meet Zebra - The Puppy Who Listens With Her Heart!
Zebra is a 16‐week‐old Alabama special who doesn't let a quiet world slow her down. While she can't hear your voice, she's incredible at reading your energy, body language, and emotions. She's attentive, intuitive, and always looking to her humans for guidance.
Hand‐Signal Pro:
Zebra already knows the signs for sit, potty, and celebrate. She's currently working on stay, good girl, lay down, and outside. She thrives on visual cues -- even a simple flashlight gets her attention.
She's still learning how to walk on a leash and working on potty training, but otherwise she's your classic puppy: curious, energetic, and always exploring.
Crate Training:
She's not the biggest fan of the crate unless another dog is nearby. Having a furry friend close brings her comfort and confidence.
Kid Compatibility:
Zebra would do well with children who understand gentle dog etiquette and know how to interact respectfully with a young pup -- especially one who relies on visual communication.
Dog Social Skills:
She has done beautifully with her foster siblings (medium‐sized dogs in the 45-55 lb range). They play, nap, and hang out together throughout the day, giving her wonderful practice in positive dog‐to‐dog interactions. She would do best with another dog in the home to continue to learn from as well.
Cat Experience:
She hasn't met any cats yet, but she's young and learning the world one pawstep at a time.
Size:
Currently 15 lbs and expected to grow into a lovely medium‐sized companion (around 45-55 lbs).
Best‐Friend Potential:
Zebra loves cuddling, playing with toys, romping with other dogs, and she's a champion napper. She would thrive in a home with a fenced yard and perhaps a "hearing" dog sibling to help show her the ropes.
Future Plans:
Sunny strolls, cozy snuggles, goofy play sessions, and a lifetime of tail‐wagging happiness.
If you're looking for a loyal companion who truly sees you, Zebra is your girl.
Apply today at SandiPaws.org and make this sweet soul part of your family! 🐶🐾

Thank you for choosing SandiPaws Rescue.
