Meet Zara!<br/><br/>Adult Female Belgian Malinois<br/><br/>PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST BEFORE INQUIRING!<br/><br/>Zara was found as a stray and is ready for a fresh start with the right home. She’s a sweet Malinois girl who needs someone who understands the breed and is excited to help her continue learning. She is currently being fostered by a professional dog trainer, which has given her a great foundation.<br/><br/>About Zara:<br/>• Appears dog selective but not aggressive — slow, proper introductions with a male dog may work<br/>(No other females recommended unless the adopter is very experienced with dog introductions)<br/>• Crate trained, but requires a heavy-duty kennel (Ruffland, Dakota, KBC, or similar — no wire or flimsy plastic crates)<br/>• Loves chew toys and is still learning how to play with toys and tug<br/>• Food motivated and eager to learn<br/>• Social with people but under-socialized — she loves attention and will happily jump up to be held<br/>• Clacks her teeth (very common in Malinois and not aggression)<br/>• Lower drive for a Malinois, but still displays typical Malinois behaviors<br/>Ideal Home:<br/>Zara would thrive in a dog-savvy home with someone looking for a “light project dog.” She does not need — and is not recommended for — a sport home, but she does need structure, boundaries, and a commitment to meeting a Malinois’ needs through training, enrichment, and routine.<br/>She’s sweet, a little quirky, and full of potential for the right person.<br/>⸻<br/>IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION<br/>• This is NOT first come, first served<br/>• A pre-screen application is required<br/>• Breed experience is REQUIRED<br/>• DO NOT call the shelter<br/>• DO NOT message us on social media<br/><br/>If you are interested in Zara, please email: euclidpetpals2@yahoo.com<br/><br/>We will send you a pre-screen form if your home may be a good fit.<br/>Help us find Zara the knowledgeable, committed home she truly deserves.
