I was found wandering on a busy highway, unsure of where to go or who to trust. When a kind volunteer finally reached me, I was so frightened that I gently lay down on the ground in submission 😔. I didn’t know what would happen next—but it turns out, it was the beginning of something better.

I’m a sensitive girl and I’m still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. I’ll need a patient and loving family who understands that trust takes time 💗. I may be shy at first, and when I feel overwhelmed, I sometimes try to hide. That’s why I would do best in a calm home with older kids (15+) who can give me space and kindness when I need it.

Other dogs can make me nervous at first—especially if there are a lot of them—but I would love to have one confident dog friend 🐶 who can help show me that life can be fun and safe. I enjoy playtime, but comfort is very important to me too. I love my toys—they make me feel safe and happy, and you’ll often see me keeping one close 🧸.

You might notice in my pictures that my ears are back and I’m low to the ground. That’s just me still learning to feel brave. I promise I do have the cutest ears 🥰, I do walk (and quite nicely!), and I’m about 5000% more beautiful in person. A fenced yard would be perfect for me so I can explore safely and build confidence at my own pace 🌳.

I’ve been through a lot, but I’m ready for my fresh start. Fetching Hearts Rescue's Adoption Policy
Apply for any of our dogs: https://www.fetchingheartsrescue.org/adoption-form-online Our team of screeners will process you application once received. This process typically takes a couple days to a week. Once processed, you will hear back from one of our team members regarding your approval status & next steps. The next steps typically involve scheduling a meet and greet if the dog is already in the state, or informing you of the transport process, date & what to expect. If all goes well during your meet & greet you will be able to take home your new family member. All meet and greets are held with the intention of adoption, but only if you and the foster agree that the dog is a good match for you and your family. We ask that you come to the meet and greet or transport day with a leash, collar, name tag (even with just your information on it, if you don't know a name yet), water, a few biscuits, and maybe a blanket or bed for the car ride home. If your dog has any special food, toys, a bed etc., the foster or volunteer will provide these to you. They will also have the dog's medical records and will review these with you before handing them off.
