Meet Zander <br/><br/>This handsome boy is READY for his Forever Home!<br/><br/> Location: Kennesaw, GA<br/><br/> Up to date on vaccines<br/><br/> Neutered: February 13<br/><br/> This little guy (47 lbs but still has that lean puppy look) had a rough start, but you'd never know it from his spirit. We call him Faux—short for fake fox—and the name fits. He was found in Cedartown after what appeared to be an attack by multiple dogs. By the time ASF took him in, he had scabs everywhere and stitches in his right front paw. Despite all of that, Faux chose joy.<br/><br/>Instead of being fearful, Zander ( Faux ) is ready to play with every dog he meets. His enthusiasm occasionally ruffled feathers with other males—but his heart was always in the right place. He's determined to be friends with everyone.<br/><br/>Zander (Faux) is all puppy—all paws, all bounce. Living with him is a bit like living with a kangaroo. He's still learning not to nip for attention and has a habit of grabbing shirt sleeves when he wants love. He has absolutely no shame... he will pinch your butt if he thinks it'll get your attention.<br/><br/> The Good Stuff (and there's a lot):<br/><br/> <br/><br/><br/> Big cuddle bug<br/> High-velcro dog — no need to call him, he's already there<br/> Medium energy level<br/> Low-medium prey drive<br/> Crate trained (though he doesn't really need it if he has his own toys)<br/> Takes correction well<br/> Good on leash and harness<br/> Quick learner — already knows sit and down, currently working on wait<br/> Great car rider<br/> Patient and gentle at the vet<br/> Met three kittens at the vet and couldn't have cared less<br/> Very quiet<br/> Shy at first, warms up quickly (can take a little longer with men)<br/> Basically... he's awesome.<br/><br/><br/> Ideal Home for Zander<br/><br/>Faux prefers women to men and will bond with women much quicker than men. We are working on that. Faux would do best in a home with dog-savvy children ages 10 and up, as he's still a bouncy, enthusiastic puppy.
