Zamora's Story

Meet Zamora: A Sweet Brown-Eyed Girl Looking for a Forever Home!

At 2 years old and 60lbs, Zamora entered the LA city shelter system as a stray in February of 2025. She was understandably nervous at first, retreating in her kennel to hide. Once out with a volunteer she was immediately affectionate and more relaxed in their presence. All of her notes mention how gentle, sensitive, and sweet she is with friends and new people alike. Our team was charmed by her soft nature and with the help of a dedicated foster she exited the shelter in March.

In her foster home, Zamora is her usual sweet and charming self. She likes to cuddle on or near her foster human, and is also happy to nap or chill in her crate while her foster is at work. She is greatly improving her leash walking skills in the neighborhood and at weekly walk class. Zamora is house-trained and crate-trained.

Zamora is perfectly content in her foster home as the only dog, and we also believe she could do well in a home with another dog. Around other dogs Zamora has a gentle and dainty play style and is tolerant of other dogs, though doesn’t always seek play.

What You Should Know About Zamora:

-A young and calm shepherd mix hoping to find the perfect home.

-Sweet and sensitive, brown-eyed down-eared heart-melter.

-Would make a great weekend adventure buddy and chill house buddy during the work week. Balanced and flexible energy.

To meet Zamora, please fill out an adoption form on dogcoalitionla.org/adopt and follow @dogcoaltionla for updates!
