Zamboni's Story
Zamboni is a shy boy who is guessed to be a schnauzer mix, but who knows for sure????
He is likely to mature “medium sized”
He has had a rough start to his life, being thrown out like trash at a rural dumpster with his siblings, and he spent a fair bit of his puppyhood living at the dump (sad tears) before being caught and taken to the local shelter.

He gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home, of all shapes snd sizes!
He is curious but non reactive around cats. He is timid and reserved with new people, but his foster mom says he does warm up with time and patience (and treats!!) and wants to be a good boy, he just lacks confidence in people due to a tough start in life.
He will do best in a home with lots of patience and some puppy training classes, to bring out the best of him!

He is crate trained and often goes into his crate on his own to relax with a few toys!

While he does great with the other dogs in his foster home, he was recently adopted, but immediately returned due to fearful barking at the dog in his new home.
We do think another dog may give him confidence and may help him adjust, however he will likely need some time to relax in a new home and get comfortable with all of the changes that go with being adopted, including having a chance to get to know a new dog without feeling cornered or fearful. He will also do fine without another dog, it just may take him some time to feel safe and comfortable.

He is crate trained and good when free roaming in the home.

He may not be an easy dog at first, but we do feel he deserves a chance to learn how wonderful a loving home can be! His foster mom believes so much in his potential, she is willing to sooner half of his adoption fee personally to a patient home who will give him that chance

He is in foster near Longmont

To meet him apply here:

https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/KOTR/Dog
