Zamboni's Story

Zamboni is a goofy, loving, happy-go-lucky boy! As his name suggests, Zamboni probably won't be joining the hockey team, but he sure likes to come out between periods to put on a little show that's sure to win over the crowd. 'Boni' loves to frolic, is a belly-rub connoisseur, and will inhale just about any treat. At just 3 years old, Zamboni is out of his puppy stage, but still eager to please and excited to learn. He loves car rides and walks, but his favorite activity is getting pets/scratches. Zamboni loves being social, and would do well with another dog or as an only pup. Zamboni isn't a fan of feline friends and would prefer a home without cats. Boni is crate and potty trained. He is up to date on his vaccines, heartworm negative, neutered, and microchipped.

Adoption process: After your phone screening, we can schedule a meet and greet / the start of your foster-to-adopt trial. All adoptions have a 2 week minimum foster-to-adopt trial to make sure that the pet is the right fit for your home, and vice versa. Zamboni's adoption fee is $250, which would be due after the foster-to-adopt period. If you are located outside of Texas, we offer to-your-door transportation and have so many happy families as references. We are very transparent about the process so feel free to ask any questions.

Code Red Animal Project Inc.'s Adoption Policy
All of our adoptions are foster-to-adopt, giving adopters the opportunity to have a trial period. We firmly believe that it is impossible to know if a pet will be a good fit for your home based on a brief encounter. A trial period allows you to see the pet in your home as they decompress and find comfort, and introduce them to different situations and settings that are important in your life. Prior to finalizing adoption, we ask that the pet be seen by your vet so that your trusted veterinary team can assess the animal's health, note vaccination records, and prescribe 6-12 months of heartworm prevention (for dogs).
