Zak's Story
Zak (Zakai) is the gentlest little soul without a mean bone in his freckled little body! At 15 lbs, and just over a year old, he is really still a puppy at heart, with plenty of JRT energy!

He gets along well with dogs - he is a submissive softie who prefers gentler playing styles. He is fully potty trained and good in his crate mostly, but does show some separation anxiety at times.

Zak adores his toys, walks, bones and getting his zoomies out! He does bark at the occasional dog passing by the house as he loves window gazing.

Zak is a bit skittish and nervous at times. It takes him a bit to warm up to people and new situations - he doesnt like sudden movements or children as they are a bit too unpredictable. He has a high prey drive, loves to chase squirrels and birds so no small animals or cats, please!

Zak recently underwent surgery to repair a luxating patella, and is recovering wonderfully!

He is still getting used to new things in this big world but his confidence is growing everyday. Once he warms up and gives his full trust he will melt your heart and will be your forever shadow!

Zak would do well in a quiet, adult-only home, either on his own or with another submissive, playful dog.

As a young terrier, he is looking for someone who can exercise him daily, and who can be patient with him while he adjusts to his new world. He would prefer to have someone home with him more often than not. Zak will require a home with fenced backyard.
