ZACK - Needs a forever home's Story

Estimated Birthdate: December 11, 2025

We responded to a report of two puppies being kept in crates outside in the heat. When we arrived, a man was selling barbecue food, junk, and puppies- no questions asked. No concern for where they were going. No concern for their health. No concern for their welfare. Zack only weighed 14 pounds, and you can see every rib on his body. Where is the accountability for backyard breeders who continue to treat living animals like merchandise? Thankfully, these two puppies are now safe. They've already seen our veterinarian, received their examinations and vaccines, and will never again have to wonder where their next meal is coming from.

Zack is the ultimate cuddle bug. If there's a lap available, he plans to be in it. He's laid-back and marches to the beat of his own drum. Extremely cuddly, affectionate, easygoing, sweet, and happy to hang out with his people.

He is currently in a foster home with his sister and an adult dog. Very dog-friendly, done well around kids, and would likely do well with cats. He's very smart and catching on to potty training quickly. So far, there have been no overnight crate accidents, and he continues to improve every day.

Does well with other dogs after a proper introduction. Unknown with cats. Children 12 years old and older. His forever home is required to have a totally enclosed, physically fenced yard. Zack is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and on monthly preventatives. We can't guarantee their adult size, but we expect Zack to be around 30-40 pounds. Zack deserves a forever home where he is loved, cherished, and spoiled for the rest of his life!!

All dogs we rescue stay with us until they find their forever homes. We do not do same-day adoptions. A home visit is required to ensure our dog is going to a safe environment and our dog gets along with your dog(s) and/or cat(s). We require all our dogs under the age of 1 year to attend 2 obedience classes (ach class is a 6-week session) outside the home. You must live within 1 hour of Birmingham, MI, to adopt one of our dogs. No out-of-state or outside the U.S. adoptions or fosters. Zack's adoption fee is $350.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING ZACK, APPLICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE AT WWW.MAKEADIFFERENCERESCUE.COM/ADOPT AND AT OUR ADOPTION EVENTS.
