Yzma's Story
Yzma is approximately 1 year old, weighs 40 + lbs. She is a Bulldog / possibly mixed with something else. To look at her she looks “Bulldog”. She’s all personality! Loves everyone, gets along with our dogs they are 26 lbs., 55 lbs., and 70 lbs. Not sure of cats. When she has been to the Vet Clinic there have been cats there and she doesn’t alert to them.

We encourage you to know Bulldog breed characteristics. Yzma seems to have most of them. Thanks to Wags she has had surgery to reduce the length of her soft palate and her nasal openings opened to improve breathing. This has definitely helped.

If you have an affinity for Bulldogs, you will love this girl! She is mostly black with a white chest. Yes, she snores. Yes, she loves to lay in your lap and yes, she slobbers. She is not food aggressive or toy aggressive. She is impatient though and would always like Her’s first.

Yzma is house trained, and crate trained. She does pretty good on a leash but could use more work. She is a great traveler in the car and will load up by herself.
Yzma’s Superpower is her tongue! It is her main sensory organ, and she can’t control her licker! Maybe with a little help she could. Yzma’s favorite things are being around people, laying in the sunshine and chewing toys. Be careful, she thinks that remotes are chew toys! Ours are in the drawers.

Yzma’s personality would suit her to be in a household with other dogs. We have grandkids that are 8 yr. and older and she does ok. She does like to jump up and this needs to be worked on, I would not recommend small kids. Yzma would do fine as a solo dog. If she is in a household with other dogs, she has a personality to want to be the leader. That is not a bad trait, but a meet and greet is recommended.

If you think Yzma may be the one for you, please go to our website at www.wagstorichesanimalrescue.org and fill out an application to adopt. Please be sure to include a vet reference as regular vet care is important to us for the health of all our adopted dogs. With approval and a $295 adoption donation, she will be ready to accompany you on all of life’s many adventures! Yzma is spayed, microchipped, fecal tested clean of internal parasites and up to date on all her vaccinations.
