Yuna Bubbles's Story
Meet Yuna Bubbles: 33 Pounds of Frenchie Lore & an Extremely Unreasonable Amount of Sweetness

Yuna is a 3-year-old, 33-pound French Bulldog mix whose lore begins at three months old, alone in the rain in a McDonald's driveway and nearly hit by a car. Someone rescued her.

What followed was absolute nonsense.

For nearly three years, Yuna spent most of her time in a cage. No outdoors. No veterinarian. Not even a bath. When she was finally given away, she was filthy, covered in fleas, and spectacularly overdue for the basic amenities package.

This should have produced a supervillain.

Instead, we got Yuna Bubbles.

She has a pouty seal lip that catches on her teeth, tiny bottom teeth making unauthorized appearances, and when excited, actual bubbles accumulate around her mouth and nose. Essentially, a Frenchie-seal hybrid with intermittent carbonation.

Yuna is deeply devoted to her person. Sit down and annexation begins: leaning, snuggling, gradually merging with you until the distinction between human and dog becomes administrative. She can entertain herself perfectly well. She simply prefers independent operations within your jurisdiction.

She's housebroken, nondestructive, and considers her kennel an emotional-support apartment. When overwhelmed, she may retreat there, tuck behind her person, or request reassurance while her nervous system finishes buffering.

Cats have been formally rejected. Negotiations are closed. With dogs, Yuna needs diplomacy rather than speed dating. Slow introductions matter, and her ideal canine roommate is easygoing, nonconfrontational, and profoundly uninterested in unnecessary geopolitical incidents. If Yuna has a brief demon moment, she needs a dog whose response is essentially, "That sounds like a you problem," rather than one who matches her energy. Give her time to observe, decompress, and determine nobody is plotting against her, and she can settle in beautifully and become playful with her canine companions.

She's done well with calm, respectful kids, while full-volume shriek-and-sprint operations may be more sensory input than she ordered.

Yuna is sensitive, hilarious, affectionate, and profoundly sweeter than her history had any right to produce. Once she feels safe, she gives her person everything.

Her past was profoundly unfair.

Her personality is an absolute banger.

PLEASE READ BELOW:

If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to complete an application and read all of our FAQs:

https://www.takepawsrescue.org/adopt

Please note: Information to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application.
*An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application*
All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
For more on this, or for additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets (including an explanation about Benefactor Dogs), please see our FAQs page:

https://www.takepawsrescue.org/faq

Any breed labels used by Take Paws Rescue, its employees/volunteers, or on vet records provided cannot be guaranteed. Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as our website, Chewy, Pet Finder, and others. These are in no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed.

***Take Paws Rescue, based in New Orleans, saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it's the perfect match!
