Yukon's Story
Meet Yukon, a male pit mix puppy with a big heart and an even bigger comeback story. Yukon is a handsome little guy with a dilute tricolor coat, expressive tan eyebrows, and adorable white socks on his feet. He came into rescue after being taken to an emergency vet on Christmas Eve when he had not eaten for four days. He was very sick, and his owners were unable to afford the extensive care he needed. Yukon was surrendered to Players For Pits, who were able to fund his treatment and lengthy hospital stay. Thanks to that care, he is now healthy, happy, and thriving in his foster home.

Yukon loves other dogs and enjoys playful interactions. Like most puppies, he is still learning appropriate play manners and how to take cues from older dogs, and he is doing well with corrections. He does not live with children but has met a two and four year old and did great with both. He was calm, gentle, and happy to snuggle up with them on the couch.

He has classic play hard, nap hard puppy energy and would do best with a family willing to help him burn off energy each day through walks or playtime. Yukon knows basic commands and is currently working on crate training. He is an energetic, snuggly, and sweet puppy who loves to cuddle but is also wonderfully goofy and guaranteed to make you smile every day. Yukon would be a great addition to just about any family looking for a loving and fun companion.

Looking for a playful cuddle bug to complete your home?
