Yukon's Story
Age: 1 year (approx)
Gender: Male
Breed (Best Guess): Great Pyrenees/Lab X
About Yukon:
Yukon came to us after surviving a harsh winter outdoors, where he had been abandoned at a construction site. When he arrived, he was underweight and dealing with the effects of exposure, but he’s come a long way and is ready for a fresh start!
Around the shelter, Yukon is known as our resident “polar bear,” with a big personality to match. He’s a goofy, lovable boy whose favourite “trick” is turning into a frozen statue when it’s time to come inside… he truly loves being outdoors. Despite his age, Yukon is fairly low energy and enjoys a more relaxed pace of life.
Yukon enjoys playing with his brother Yeti and would likely do well with other dogs given proper introductions. His experience with cats is unknown. He would likely be a good fit for a home with children, although his basic obedience and manners are still a work in progress (typical for his age).
He would thrive in a home with a yard where he can stretch his legs and enjoy the outdoors. Yukon would love a family setting that can offer him space, patience, and continued guidance as he continues to learn.
Adoption Fee: $425
Includes microchip, spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, and deworming.
Please note: We adopt to force-free homes only. The adoptive family must be committed to continuing force-free training methods.
If you are looking a for a loveable laid back dog to join your family visit our website at paws-rescue.com and fill out an application.
