YUKON's Story

Yukon (A568033) arrived as a stray a little over a week ago, and we are already smitten with this handsome, sweet natured boy. He has a gorgeous coat, kind eyes and a gentle presence that makes it easy to fall for him. If you are looking for a dog who enjoys a bit of independence, Yukon may be exactly who you have been searching for. He is the type who can keep himself entertained and happily explore the yard on his own. Yukon loves to wander, sniff and take in his surroundings. He also enjoys playing by himself which makes him a great match for someone who wants a companion that does not need constant attention but will always enjoy being near you. He has been tested with other dogs and did well with a female. Based on what we have seen, Yukon would do best as the only male dog in the home. He has a peaceful way about him and flourishes when his environment allows for that. Yukon is an easy dog to appreciate. He is steady, curious and quietly affectionate. We hope someone sees what we see and gives him the safe, loving home he deserves. Yukon is estimated to be around 4 years old and weighs 74 pounds. All animals adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, spayed/neutered and given a 30 day flea/tick preventative. Ready to meet Yukon? Stop by 4950 Triana Blvd SW in Huntsville, Alabama. No appointment is necessary to meet our available animals. All adopters must be 19 years or older and be able to provide a valid ID.
