Yukon's Story

Yukon is a gorgeous black Rottweiler mix with a heart as big as her smile. This 4-year-old sweetheart is fully vetted, weighs 61 lbs, kid-friendly, and absolutely loves being around people. Her brother Tahoe is also still looking for a home. She's the kind of dog who will greet you with a wagging tail and a happy face every single time.
Yukon is very social and gets along wonderfully with other dogs - in fact, her best friend and rescue roommate is the sweet young Tux, and the two of them are inseparable. Whether it's playing, exploring, or just snuggling together, Yukon loves having a furry buddy by her side.
She's a very active girl who would thrive in a home where she can run, play, and go on adventures. From hikes to fetch sessions, Yukon is always ready for fun and loves being part of the action.
While she adores dogs and people, we haven't cat-tested her yet, so we're not sure how she would do with our fuzzy feline friends - but testing can be done upon request.
Some of Yukon's cutest qualities include her playful energy, her gentle kisses, and the way she tilts her head when she's curious about something - it's impossible not to fall in love with her!
After spending her time in rescue, Yukon is ready to find a forever home where she can have all the love, attention, and adventures she deserves. Could that be with you?
Yukon is heartworm positive and currently on the slow-kill method. She will need to continue heartworm protection throughout her life.

At Journey’s Legacy Rescue, our goal is to match every dog with the perfect forever home. To ensure the best fit for both our dogs and adopters, we follow a structured adoption process: 1. Submit an Application The first step is to complete our adoption application. This helps us learn more about you, your household, and what you’re looking for in a companion. 2. Application Review Once your application is reviewed, our team will contact you if you are approved to move forward. 3. Meet & Greet If approved, we will help you set up a meet-and-greet with the dog you are interested in. This allows you to interact with the dog and make sure it feels like the right fit. 4. Finalize Adoption If the meet-and-greet goes well, you will choose a day to bring your new family member home. At that time, you will: Sign the adoption contract Pay the adoption fee. Transport fee of up to $200 applies to areas if more than a 2-hour drive dependent on the distance. From there, your new best friend will officially become part of your family! ???
