Yeti's Story
Meet Yeti!

Yeti is a 100 lb German Shepherd/Great Dane mix with a heart as big as his size. He was found as a stray and brought to a shelter in Eastern NC before coming into rescue. While he can be shy with new people, he is incredibly sweet and kind. He has the protective nature of a German Shepherd, looking out for his people and space, but deep down, he just wants love and affection. Once he warms up, you’ll often find him sneaking his big head in for a rub, learning that human affection is pretty amazing.

Yeti walks well on a leash and just wants to do the right thing. He can be cautious around some people but is easily won over with treats. He is house trained and would do best in a single-family home with someone who can spend time helping him adjust, especially in the beginning. He loves other dogs and would be a great companion for a calm, well-adjusted dog.

Yeti is neutered, up-to-date on shots, and his adoption fee is $300. He will also come with a one-year supply of Heartgard. Yeti tested positive for heartworms but is currently undergoing slow-kill treatment. He has no symptoms, and if kept on his heartworm prevention, he is expected to test negative in 12 months.

If you’re interested in adopting Yeti, email info@rescuedme.org or visit www.rescuedme.org to apply.
