Yesenia's Story

Yesenia is a dignified lady who has had a hard life - possibly used for breeding and then dumped to find her way. She was taken in by the SPCA PV where she has regained her health and some dignity. She would love to finally have her own family after all these years. Yesenia is picky about other dogs. When she first arrived she wasn't keen on cats, but she's come along to visit them with poise (and generally ignoring them). She prefers sniff walks vs long adventures, and is happy to chill and watch the world go by - but also comes out to the yard with a spring in her step. Senior dogs deserve a happy ever after as well. If you think you might be her chance at a real life, she'd love to hear from you at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com

PVCA Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Our sister organization, the SPCA Puerto Vallarta, has a sanctuary, staff, trainer and medical team who work with the dogs and cats until they are deemed "adoptable". Once they pass their health exams, which include blood tests which certify they are able to cross borders, they are transported to Canada and/or the United States and enter foster or permanent homes. All our animals come sterilized, and fully vaccinated and dewormed. Our organization relies on the caring volunteers who open their homes and foster the animals until they are adopted. We do not have a sanctuary or shelter in Canada or the United States. Visits must be arranged and we prefer an adoption application to be filled out and approved before visitation.
