Yellow's Story
Meet Yellow! This kind-hearted boy came from a situation where he was being given away for free due to the owner's travel schedule. He was quickly facing euthanasia if a home wasn't found for him. Luckily, a board member came just in time when she saw a sign for a FREE DOG on a mailbox off a highway and stopped. She was able to find an incredible foster home where he can thrive, decompress, and they have the time and patience to really get to know him!

Yellow is a gentle, sweet, and affectionate boy looking for a forever home to call his own. At almost 3 years old (born 5/29/22) this handsome guy is a Malamute/Husky mix, weighing in at a solid 90–100 pounds. He’s neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and has a calm, loving presence that makes him VERY uniquely special! He just has really REALLY good energy. He knows how to sit, walks well on a leash, and loves playing fetch!

He’s wonderful with adults and children and hasn’t met a stranger he didn’t like. While we’re still evaluating his behavior with other dogs and cats, we believe he may LOVE having canine companions. However, Yellow has a strong prey drive and is not suitable for homes with chickens or likely small animals like cats. He’s currently untested with other pets and will need a bit more time to fully settle in.

Yellow would be an incredible companion for hiking, lounging, going for walks, playing fetch or pulling a kiddo around on a sled! He may even be a fantastic therapy dog given his demeanor. A securely fenced yard (6 ft) is highly recommended to keep this lovely boy safe.

Yellow is being fostered in Olympia, WA, and he’s ready to meet the loving family he’s been waiting for!
