Meet Yelena. She was found in a small rural town after being caught in a trap. Fortunately, she received no injuries and was taken to a shelter. She came in very scared and unsure of her surroundings. Yelena is beginning to trust humans again, as she is initially shy but wants to be loved. She is mastering her leash skills and loves adventures. Yelena is not expected to get much larger than 28 lbs (a mini husky). She has the most adorable smile and a confident grace about her. She needs a forever home with lots of patience so she can flourish and enjoy life. Older children are recommended until she is aware of her new environment. Ideally, we are looking for someone to be at home or work from home to help her adjust. We're not sure how she is with other dogs at this time; that, too, will come with patience.
