Yakko Terrier Aurora, IL

Yakko is a very sweet and goofy boy. He’s about 1-2 years old, but still acts like a puppy. He loves balls, squeaky toys and bones. Yakko is happy to see everyone and tries to give hugs. Yakko thinks he’s a lap dog and has no concept of personal space. If you chill on the couch, he is chilling out on you. If you are petting him and stop, he paws you to keep going. Yakko is working on learning commands such as; come, sit stay and no. He is crate trained and will voluntarily go into the crate when he’s not getting attention. Yakko is not quite housebroken, but he’s learning quickly and doing well. He is very treat motivated. He does pull on the leash when walking, but is working on that also. Yakko does well with cats, mostly ignores them. He does well with other dogs his size and smaller, but avoids dogs bigger than him. Yakko has been on a few walks and is cautious about his surroundings. Yakko does gobble his food and needs a slow feeder. Because of his size and jumping up, no children under the age of 13.
