She would thrive in a calm home environment where she can take things at her own pace—ideally a house rather than an apartment, where she can enjoy quiet space and stability. Her future family will play an important role in helping her grow her confidence with patience, encouragement, and plenty of reassurance.<br/><br/>Xena may especially enjoy living with another friendly, confident dog who can help show her the ropes and demonstrate that new experiences can be fun. She’s eager to please and clearly wants to do the right thing, which makes her a wonderful candidate for obedience classes. Training together will not only help build her confidence, but also create a beautiful bond between Xena and her new family.<br/><br/>Because she seems sensitive to harsh corrections, Xena responds best to gentle guidance and positive reinforcement. Her adopters must be willing to return her for this procedure, which is included in the adoption fee. <br/><br/>Animal adoptions and viewing are by appointment only.
