Xena is a very sweet 2 yr old lab/am staff. Xena love love loves people. She tucks her head into you while getting hugs. She is not comfortable around most dogs. We have been working with her. While in her crate we have allowed other dogs to come in her room and sit next to her crate while she also sits. We reward greatly while both dogs sit calmly. She does sit and down very nicely. She has to continue working on paws on human. She wants to be close to her person, when it is time for her turn she lifts to reach and give a hug. We are working to teach her the “off” command every time she does it. It is very gentle, but her nails can scratch so best for her not to paws up on people. Look at her eyes! What you see is absolute sweetheart and that is what you get with Xena. She is very submissive to humans. Needs a little help with settling down in the house. Xena should be the first dog in home where she can learn how to be part of a family and learn calm behavior in the home. After settled she would probably do well with a puppy if you are a family that wants multiple dogs. She is house and crate trained she never has potty accidents. Only when she first came and had no control over her bowel. Xena is ready for her new home. She is a great girl just needs someone to show her they way of love and patience.
