Xena

Xena is a sweet girl who was wandering around in Maumelle as a stray. A kind human in the neighborhood gave her food and helped her survive the winter storms in early 2026, but was unable to take her in as a pet. He continued to provide her with food, water, and shelter and built up her trust while searching for a rescue to take her in. <br/>When he finally found Out of the Woods, we sent a volunteer out to meet her. She was very skittish and ran off immediately, but a few days later she came back to her rescuer and he was able to coax her inside his home and shut the door. <br/>When we got back out to meet her, we couldn't believe how sweet she was.
