Xander

My name is Xander (that's Alexander without the "Ale.") I am a one year old Dachshund mix, and I weigh about 15 pounds. As you might be able to tell from the gleam in my eye, I am a very happy and playful little guy. We are working on my housetraining, and I am doing well as long as someone reminds me to go out often enough, especially when it is very cold. I will stay in a crate when no one is around to watch me, but that is not my favorite place to be! I would much rather be following you around the house or curling up in your lap for some "Xander Time." I get along with other dogs for the most part, but I have a jealous streak and do not realize how small I am. I would not be a good choice for young children since I am way too active for them. Some cats would also find me too forward for their liking. My foster family thinks maybe I am mixed with some sort of terrier. If you are looking for a little lover boy who will entertain you and make you smile, I could be the dog for you.
