Wynter's Story

She had been on her own for some time. Now she's trying to figure out how to be a pet. She's making progress with her walks and is doing good. She loooves having treats. Couldn't ask her to have any better potty manners. She'd love an adopter to help her the rest of the way with her training and learning to accept love. Ozark-Dale County Humane Society's Adoption Policy

After choosing the pet you are interested in, we require an adoption application to ensure your environment is a good fit for the pet you have chosen. When you have met and made the final decision to adopt the pet, we require an adoption contract to make certain you will be a good caregiver. Adoption fees are $125.00 for dogs/puppies and $75.00 adoption fee for cats/kittens. All age eligible pets are spayed or neutered prior to completion of the adoption process. If the pet is too young for surgery, you will be provided a date for surgery per the adoption contract. (Included in adoption fee.) If you choose to use your own vet, we will reimburse surgery fees up to the amount our vet is charging. Dogs are heart worm tested, on preventative, spay/neutered (if of age), and have vaccinations up to date, and micro-chipped. Cats are Feline Leukemia/Aids tested, spay/neutered (if of age), vaccinations up to date, and micro-chipped upon request. ~We also require a vet reference and/or home visit or alternate information.
