Wylie's Story

Wylie is a 5 y/o, 44#, Corgi(or Corgi/Border Collie mix). The handsomest, most regal boy there ever was! He is the definition of "I am just happy to be here!" His cheerful, friendly smile says it all! He loves every person he's met (he even tried to ride along with the UPS driver) and adores respectful kids 10+. Wylie is looking for an adopter who can gently support him on his weight loss journey, as he still has a few pounds to his target weight. He loves his walks and is doing better as he loses a little weight. Playing ball is another passion for him although he is currently on vet-restricted zoomies while he loses his weight so as not to aggravate a potential soft tissue injury (foster has been nursing this per vet recommendation) to his stumper. Wylie has done very well at not marking anymore, but he will also need to be watched, gently reminded, and let out very regularly to make sure he doesn't fall back into old habits. He likes to be around other dogs, but does not necessarily engage or play with them too much. Wylie is looking for a home where his human is not gone for long periods and has a fenced in yard. Shared walls are not a good fit for Wylie. He is untested with cats. Wylie’s adoption fee is $400 and includes his recent neuter and dental, microchip, HWT, and vaccinations. If you are interested in meeting Wylie, the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Wylie’s adoption fee is $400 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.
