Meet Wubby!

Wubby is a 7yr old Shih Tzu that is ready to find his forever home. He’s absolutely adorable and has been an -almost- perfect houseguest. His good qualities? Wubby is laid back, affectionate, has no separation anxiety, housebroken, loves to lounge in bed or on the couch with you, and he is amazing with other dogs and cats. However, Wubby has a dark side if he gets his paws on certain objects he decides are worthy of guarding. His favorite is socks, and he WILL bite. If you trade him out for a treat he will happily leave whatever is in his mouth, but because of this he must go to a home with no children and savvy adults. He has shown no resource guarding tendencies towards other animals, only people, and it’s only if you try to take what he has out of his mouth. He would be a great dog for someone who needs incentive to pick up their laundry. ?

Wubby, like most Shih Tzu’s, also appears to have some allergies. He came into rescue with a double ear infection and some itchy paws. His ear infection is all cleared up, but he does still have some itchiness and benefits from having his paws wiped after being outside. He needs his eyes wiped daily or he gets tear stain buildup, so daily grooming is a necessity. He is fine for all of this!
