Wrangler's Story

THE LOOKS OF A MODEL. THE ENERGY OF A TORNADO. MEET WRANGLER!

Let’s talk about Australian Shepherds. They’re beautiful, intelligent, loyal, athletic dogs. They’re also a whole lot of DOG packed into one very pretty package. And Wrangler? He’s here to remind everyone that pretty doesn’t mean easy.

Wrangler was surrendered for a couple of reasons, one being his energy level. And while we can certainly appreciate his former family’s honesty, we want to make sure his next family knows EXACTLY what they’re signing up for.

Born 6/19/26, Wrangler is still just a baby. But he’s already showing us that he’s got the working-breed energy to match those stunning good looks!

The Wrangler rundown:

* GO, GO, GO! This boy has energy to spare and would thrive with an active family who enjoys adventures, training, and keeping both his brain and body busy.
* Dog social! He loves other dogs and is always down for a good, rowdy wrestling match.
* Kennel superstar! Sleeps through the night, keeps his kennel clean, and has been an absolute dream with his crate routine.
* Adventure ready! Travels beautifully in the car and would love to be your copilot.
* A little bashful at first! New people can make him a little unsure, but give him a few minutes and that sweet personality comes shining through.

And his DNA? 50% Miniature Australian Shepherd, 50% Standard Australian Shepherd. So while someone may have expected a pint-sized Aussie, Wrangler has other plans!

Now, here’s the important part.

We know Wrangler is going to get attention. A LOT of attention. He’s absolutely gorgeous. But Australian Shepherds aren’t just pretty dogs. They’re intelligent, driven, high-energy working dogs that need structure, mental stimulation, physical exercise, and a family committed to training.

A big backyard alone isn’t enough. A daily walk around the block may not cut it. These dogs want to DO things! And without appropriate outlets, all that intelligence and energy can turn into behaviors that frustrate an unprepared owner.

We aren’t looking for someone who simply wants an Australian Shepherd. We’re looking for someone who wants everything that comes WITH an Australian Shepherd. The energy. The training. The adventures. The commitment.

Wrangler has already lost one home. Our goal is to make sure his next one is his LAST.

We will be selective with applications, prioritizing breed understanding, realistic expectations, and families who are excited to put in the work to help this incredible young dog thrive.

Because Wrangler doesn’t need someone to slow him down. He needs someone who can keep up.

Bruno’s Foundation Rescue

brunosfoundationrescue.org

Available to go home on Halloween weekend, accepting applications now. Bruno's Foundation's Adoption Policy
We are a foster based facility, meaning all of our animals are in homes, not a shelter environment. This allows us to get to know them better, and provide on one training for each animal. In order to limit the amount of people going in and out of our foster homes, we do require a filled out application prior to a meet and greet. We are a 501c3 non profit. All adoption donations are tax deductible! Please click the link on this page to fill out an application for adoption. Allow 48 hours for a reply, we only have one person who reviews applications so please be patient. A phone call will be scheduled should your application fit the needs of the pet you’re applying for. During this time, we will set up a meet and greet, then a home check (virtual or in person). We DO allow out of state adoptions however you will be required to travel to pick up, and this will depend on how the pet you’re applying for does with travel. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed prior to adoption.
