WRANGLER's Story

Wrangler is the kind of dog who seems ready to turn every day into a little adventure. Whether he is playing fetch in the big grassy run, proudly carrying around a favorite toy, or riding along for an outing around town, this handsome guy brings a playful, affectionate energy everywhere he goes. Staff and volunteers consistently describe him as social, fun-loving, and eager to connect once he has a chance to settle in. He especially loves stuffies, fetch, treats, and spending time with his people, and he has a habit of rewarding affection with sweet kisses once he feels comfortable. Honestly, “rootin’ tootin’ best friend” seems pretty accurate.

Wrangler can feel overwhelmed in stressful environments and will need an adopter or rescue willing to provide structure, patience, and thoughtful guidance as he continues building confidence. Outside of the kennel environment, though, he has repeatedly shown his softer side: playful, affectionate, responsive, and able to relax and enjoy himself. He has done well meeting people on outings, enjoyed exploring new places, and loves having room to run and play. Wrangler feels like the kind of dog who will absolutely thrive once he has stability, enrichment, and someone committed to helping him feel safe and understood. For the right person, he has all the makings of an incredibly loyal and entertaining companion.

All adoptions include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Adopted pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before leaving the shelter's care.
