Wrangler's Story

Wrangler is a handsome 21⁄2-year-old Fox Red Labrador Retriever with the drive and enthusiasm that working Labs are known for.

He is seeking an experienced owner to provide structure and continue his training. Wrangler is overwhelmed by new situations and people. He’s looking for a home that understands his big emotions and will manage his reactivity through continued positive, slow exposure to the world.

He's looking for an active owner that understands his breed, is ready to keep up with his zest for life.

• Affectionate with his family
• Potty trained
• Knows basic commands and is highly food-motivated
• Absolutely loves walks and will bring you his leash letting you know he’s ready to go
• Thrives with a consistent routine
• Loves water and swimming
• Carries his favorite toys around the house
• Loyal and loves being part of the family

What Wrangler needs in his new home to be most successful:
• Wrangler would do best with an experienced family committed to continued training and socialization. He is still working on becoming calmer when meeting new people and will thrive with consistency and structure.
• Wrangler needs a home without children. Since he has not grown up around children, the unpredictability can be overwhelming for him. He is best suited for an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy children.
• A secure, physically fenced yard to play and relax in. He is not a candidate for an invisible fence.
• A home without cats or small animals.

Wrangler isn't looking for a couch potato lifestyle. He's looking for a family that will embrace his adventurous spirit and give him plenty of opportunities to run, play, learn, and explore. He's currently working on his leash manners and is anxious around new people, so slow introductions are a must. When anxious, Wrangler may bark or mouth to show his feelings.

Wrangler is being fostered in North Bend, WA. He is about 68 lbs, neutered, microchipped and up to date on all his vaccinations.
