Wrangler's Story

Wrangler has found himself back up for adoption with a few updates to his bio!
Wrangler is dog friendly with all size dogs, but really loves playmates his size for wrestling and playing chase. Wrangler loves all people as well.
While Wrangler loves all people, we are looking an adult only home or a home with older children as Wrangler has sleep startle reflex.
Sleep startle reflex is an involuntary, instinctual defense reaction where a dog snaps, growls, or lunges immediately upon being woken up unexpectedly. This is very common in hounds who were outside on a chain or kennel in unpredictable environment such as the woods where they could be woken up by a predator.
Sleep startle means Wrangler is safest when he can not be woken up during a nap and when they can sleep at night in a crate. Crates allow Wrangler to sleep soundly and not worry about his surroundings while he rests.
He is housetrained and crate trained, though he dreams of a home that will let him snuggle in bed & cuddle on the couch. He also loves car rides & new adventures!
Wrangler is about 1 yr old, 55lbs, fully vetted and ready for the right forever home
