Wookie

Not such a long time ago, in a galaxy not so far away, a little puppy named Wookie was searching for her forever home.

We believe Wookie is a 16–18 week old Australian Kelpie mix. This sweet puppy had a rough start after being found with wounds from an attack by other dogs, but thanks to the kind people who stepped in to help her, she’s now safe, healing, and ready to find a family of her own.

Like any puppy, Wookie is full of curiosity, playfulness, and energy. She loves exploring the world around her, discovering new things, and making friends along the way. When playtime is over, she’s more than happy to curl up in your arms for some snuggles. One of her favorite things is having her head gently stroked while she soaks up all the affection she can get.

Wookie has also done well in the car, making her a great companion for adventures big and small. With her sweet nature, loving personality, and puppy charm, she would make a wonderful addition to a family looking for a loyal best friend to grow up with.

The Force is strong with this one. Could Wookie be the missing member of your crew?

Visit STAF.org for more information on our adoption process. *** Email adoptadog@STAF.org for next steps! ***

Adoption through STAF includes full vetting of the dogs, including a spay/neuter at 6 months (female)/9month (male) maximum.

We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting.
You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.
Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.
We do request vet and personal references.
We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter
