Woody's Story

Meet Woody, the loving 6 year old male Cocker Spaniel seeking his forever home. This 18 pound cutie is full of love to give and bonds very closely to his humans! Woody was recently surrendered back to us due to him not being a good fit for his owner's lifestyle anymore, so he is now looking for the perfect family that he can spend lots of time with. He is a very good boy and loves being close to his people, soaking up all the attention possible. Woody enjoys playing with toys and going for long walks; however, he is not overly energetic. He would thrive in a home with someone who has a lot of patience and can dedicate their time towards training him. Woody was having some potty-training issues in his previous home and issues with barking, as well as jumping on guests. With training and time, these are behaviors that can be fixed! Woody is crate trained and knows the commands sit, paw, lay down, spin, and stay. He did live with another dog in the home and would do well with a playmate! Woody's ideal home would be with a family who is home often and can work with him, as well as with a dog experienced owner. With Woody in your home, it will be filled with endless snuggles, silly antics, and warmth. Woody will be available for adoption during our Open Adoption Hours, Friday through Sunday, 11am to 4pm. No appointments taken. Walk in only. Please see our Adoption FAQs link below for information on our adoption process. Thank you! https://hslwr.org/adoption-faqs.
